The National Resilience College was honoured to host Distinguished Prof. Datuk Dr Shamsul Amri Baharuddin, FASc, who delivered a thought-provoking presentation titled “Making Malaysia Great: Malaysia as a Nation – Opportunities & Challenges.” The session delved into Malaysia’s historical and contemporary challenges, such as ethnic strife, labour unrest, and governance struggles, while also highlighting opportunities like security arrangements, ethnic bargains, and development planning. Drawing from his wealth of expertise, Prof. Shamsul emphasised the importance of balancing federalism, fostering unity, and addressing regional and global challenges to strengthen Malaysia’s resilience. His insights provided a comprehensive and impactful framework for understanding and addressing the nation’s strategic issues.
