Change of Command Ceremony at the National Resilience College (NRC) and the National Defence Studies Centre (PUSPAHANAS)
Putrajaya, 3 July 2025 – The Handover Ceremony for the Commandant of the National Resilience College (NRC) and the Director General of Management and Training (KPPL) of the National Defence Studies Centre (PUSPAHANAS) was held at Dewan HIKMAT, Armed Forces Staff College (MTAT), attended by the entire PUSPAHANAS community.
The ceremony, officiated by the President of PUSPAHANAS, Vice Admiral Datuk Sabri bin Zali, began with the conferment of rank to PW II PWP Mohd Shahrizad bin Sulaiman. This was followed by the official handover of duties as Commandant of NRC from Lieutenant General Datuk Johnny Lim Eng Seng to Brigadier General Abdul Karim bin Ahmad, and subsequently, the handover of duties as KPPL from Brigadier General Dr. Wan Edenin bin Wan Mahsin to Colonel Nizam bin Hj Che Ani RMAF.
Lieutenant General Datuk Johnny Lim Eng Seng will begin his leave before retiring on 15 January 2026, marking the completion of 41 years of distinguished service.
The National Resilience College (NRC) extends its deepest gratitude to Lieutenant General Datuk Johnny Lim Eng Seng for his remarkable leadership and unwavering commitment since assuming the role of Commandant. His tenure has strengthened the College’s vision and legacy, following in the footsteps of his predecessor, General Tan Sri Hj Mohd Nizam bin Hj Jaffar, now the Chief of Defence Forces, who laid a strong foundation of excellence during his command.
Together, their dedication has shaped NRC into a premier institution of strategic thought and national resilience. We wish Lieutenant General Datuk Johnny Lim every success as he approaches retirement, and we warmly welcome Brigadier General Abdul Karim bin Ahmad as the new Commandant to continue this proud legacy.
