Digital Governance and Transparency: Opportunities and Challenges in Malaysia’s Publi
The National Resilience College welcomed Ts. Dr Siti Istianah binti Mahdzur, an ICT Consultant (ICT Strategic Management), as an Eminent Speaker for an engaging session on “Digital Governance and Transparency: Opportunities and Challenges in Malaysia’s Public Sector Reform”. The discussion highlighted why digital governance matters at the strategic level: it strengthens institutional legitimacy and public trust through more transparent, accountable, and efficient service delivery, while also raising critical governance questions about data stewardship, interoperability, cyber risk, procurement integrity, and agencies’ readiness to manage digital transformation sustainably. For course members, the session reinforced that modern national resilience depends not only on policy intent but also on the state’s capacity to govern securely, ethically, and coherently across the whole of government.
