The National Resilience College (NRC) attended the forum organised by the Centre for Defence and International Security Studies (CDISS), Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia (UPNM) on “80th Anniversary of Hiroshima and Nagasaki Atomic Bombings: Strategic Lessons for Today.” With insights from Prof. Dr. Adam Leong Kok Wey, Lt Gen Datuk Haji Abdul Halim bin Haji Jalal (R), and Lt Gen Dato’ Fadzil Mokhtar (R), the session highlighted how the tragedies of Hiroshima and Nagasaki shaped global military doctrines, international law, and the role of modern technologies like AI in defence strategies. The key lesson: peace and humanity must remain at the core of security to prevent history from repeating itself.
