Puan Siti Iswalah binti Arshad, Senior Research Fellow at the Research and Consultation Center, Institut Tadbiran Awam Negara (INTAN), delivered an insightful talk on “Whole-of-Society Approach for National Security” at the National Resilience College. This critical discussion highlighted the necessity of multi-stakeholder collaboration—encompassing government, private sector, civil society, and individuals—in safeguarding Malaysia’s national security. As threats become more complex and asymmetric, a siloed approach is no longer sufficient; instead, a coordinated, inclusive strategy that integrates technological advancements, policy frameworks, and grassroots engagement is vital. The session underscored the importance of resilience-building, strategic communication, and public trust in ensuring national stability, emphasizing that security is a shared responsibility in an increasingly interconnected and unpredictable world.
