The National Resilience College welcomed Puan Masni Muhammad, Executive Director at the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), for a thought-provoking session titled “Developing States in BRICS: Maximising Malaysia’s Economic Gains in a Shifting Global Order.” Her analysis highlighted how emerging-market collaboration within the enlarged BRICS bloc could unlock fresh capital inflows, technology partnerships and resilient supply chains for Malaysia—while also intensifying competition for investment and market share. The discussion underscored why it is crucial for Malaysian policymakers and industry leaders to position the country strategically within this evolving landscape so that we capture new growth opportunities, safeguard national competitiveness and strengthen economic security amid a rapidly multipolar world.
