Today, the National Resilience College welcomed Vice Admiral Mark Hammond, Australia’s Chief of Navy, for a compelling session titled “Australia’s Maritime Security Interest in the Indo-Pacific.” The topic could not be more timely: as global trade increasingly depends on Indo-Pacific sea-lanes, and as regional power dynamics grow more complex, safeguarding maritime security is essential to economic resilience, strategic stability, and the preservation of an open, rules-based order—making sustained discussion and collaboration on these issues an urgent imperative for all Indo-Pacific stakeholders.
