On 13 January 2026 at NRC Putrajaya, the National Resilience College hosted an Eminent Speaker session featuring Yang Amat Arif Tun Tengku Maimun Tuan Mat, former Chief Justice of Malaysia, who delivered a lecture on “The Federal Constitution and the Rule of Law.” The session reinforced the Constitution as the country’s supreme legal foundation and positioned the rule of law as a core pillar of national resilience, critical for safeguarding democratic governance, protecting fundamental rights, ensuring institutional accountability, and sustaining public trust in state authority. For senior leaders and policymakers, the topic was of critical importance because constitutional literacy and respect for lawful process directly influenced national stability, the credibility of government decision-making, and the state’s ability to manage crises and societal tensions without undermining legitimacy, cohesion, or Malaysia’s international standing.
