On 20 January 2026, the National Resilience College hosted an Eminent Speaker session featuring Datuk Ismail bin Yusop, Director General of the Department of Community Communications, Ministry of Communication, who delivered a strategic briefing on “Malaysia MADANI: A Vision for National Transformation.” The session unpacked how the MADANI agenda translated from national aspiration into practical governance and community-level delivery, highlighting the importance of building public trust, strengthening social cohesion, and ensuring policy messages were communicated clearly and consistently across diverse audiences. By linking national transformation to credible communication, citizen engagement, and whole-of-society alignment, the talk reinforced the idea that effective strategic communication was not a supporting function but a core enabler of resilience: it helped maintain legitimacy, counter misinformation, mobilise collective action, and sustain national unity during periods of change and uncertainty.
